2017 – Malvasia Wine Festival
Festival Malvasia, special event dedicated to wine, takes place in Emilia-Romagna in May.
For a whole weekend Sala Baganza, in the province of Parma, celebrates Malvasia wine.
Malvasia Festival is dedicated to Malvasia Colli di Parma, typical local wine recognizable by his colour yellow and his aromatic flavour. Its dry taste with a alcohol content around 10.50%.
Three-days tasting food and wines, enjoying cooking shows, ehibitions and workshops dedicated to food and wine.
Assignment of Coseta d’Or award for the best Malvasia of the year.
A “sparkling” program, more and more full of initiatives.
Visitors will taste wines of Colli di Parma, Parma’s products and recipes from other italian regions matched with wines and guided by experts sommeliers.
On Sunday will take place Italian masks parade in garden.
Historical Note: Rocca di Sala Baganza was the summer residence of Marie Louise of Austria, wife of Napoleon, which this year marks the bicentenary of his inauguration as the Duchess of Parma.
