Sponz Fest – Alta Irpinia

21-27 August 2022 A week of music and events in Irpinia.

From August 21st to 27th 2027, different small locations in Alta Irpinia host the 10th edition of Sponz Fest, under the artistic direction of Vinicio Capossela, songwriter, poet and writer.

The theme of the 2022 edition is Culture as cultivation and as a set of values.
As the organizers say: “In 2022 we have set ourselves the theme of culture, in the double meaning of culture and cultivation. A travelling edition that will also touch Irpinia and Basilicata.
Thinking about culture and cucultivation lture means thinking about what we are made of, what we eat and what we grow. On the relationship with the earth, with the resources of the earth and also with ours. About what we consume and what we leave behind. On what we cultivate and what we corrupt. “”

Small history of the Sponz Fest
The Sponz Fest first started as a celebration on the rites of marriage.
Over time it has been expanded to the themes of union, of the relationship with the Earth and the encounter with other cultures.
The festival is taking the opportunity to create “community”
