Calabria is at the toe of the Italian boot, in Southern Italy.<\/strong>
\nIt’s enclosed between two seas: the Tyrrhenian Sea<\/strong> and the Ionian Sea<\/strong>, and is bordered by Basilicata<\/strong> in the North, while in the South its separated from Sicily<\/strong> by the Strait of Messina.<\/strong>
\nThe region Capital is Catanzaro<\/strong> and the other provinces are Reggio Calabria, Cosenza, Crotone<\/strong> and Vibo Valentia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every city in Calabria is rich in attractions.
\nCosenza,<\/strong> formerly known as “Athens of Calabria”,<\/strong> boasts one of the biggest collections of prehistoric bronzes<\/strong>, housed in the Archaeological Museum.
\nReggio Calabria<\/strong> houses the famous Riace bronzes<\/strong> (V century BC) and according to the poet D\u2019Annunzio, its promenade is the \u201cmost beautiful Italian kilometer<\/strong>\u201d.
\nVibo Valentia<\/strong> is located in a wonderful panoramic spot<\/strong> as you can see the snow-capped of Mount Etna! It is the ideal starting point to explore the beautiful Tyrrhenian coast.
\nCrotone<\/strong> was founded in the VII century BC by the Greeks. It keeps many architectural traces, like the IX century Cathedral. Lots of lovely beaches around, like Capo Rizzuto<\/strong>.
\nCatanzaro<\/strong> is known as the city of the 3 Vs<\/strong>: V as<\/strong> Saint Vitaliano<\/strong>, the Patron celebrated in July; V as Velvet<\/strong>, as it was an important centre for the production of velvet, silk and damasks; V as wind <\/strong>(“vento” in Italian), because of the breezes coming from the Ionian Sea and the Sila Mountains.<\/p>\n
