Friuli Venezia Giulia is located in Northern Italy<\/strong>, it is bordered on the\u00a0European side by Austria and Slovenia, while on the national side by Veneto. It is washed by the Adriatic Sea.
\nTrieste<\/strong> is the region capital, while the other provinces are: Gorizia<\/strong>, Pordenone<\/strong> and Udine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Because of its location, in the far north east of Italy, Friuli Venezia Giulia<\/strong> is an interesting region for tourists in search of a genuine experience out of the main tourist circuits. This small region offers historical houses<\/strong>, hotels<\/strong> and simple agritourisms<\/strong>\u00a0spread everywhere between mountains<\/strong> full of marks\u00a0of the First World War<\/strong> and cities<\/strong>\u00a0full of history, like Trieste<\/strong> and Aquileia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cities to visit: Aquileia<\/strong>, one of the most important center of the Roman Empire and an UNESCO World Heritage; Trieste<\/strong>, famous for its cafes and historic buildings and where,\u00a0in October, takes place, the Barcolana<\/strong>, a\u00a0sailing regatta\u00a0which brings together sailors from all over the world in a great festival with thousands of boats; Udine<\/strong> known for its Tiepolo Galleries and dominated by an ancient castle.<\/p>\n

Gorizia\u00a0<\/strong>has been appointed European Capital of Culture in 2025<\/strong> along with Nova Gorica (Slovenia).<\/p>\n
