Veneto is located in the North-East of Italy<\/strong> and it is bordered by Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Austria.
\nThe region capital is the hugely popular Venice,<\/strong> while the other provinces are: Belluno<\/strong>, Padova<\/strong>, Rovigo<\/strong>, Treviso<\/strong>, Verona<\/strong> and Vicenza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Veneto boasts an exceptional historical heritage like the Venetian Villas,<\/strong> ancient palaces and historical houses.<\/p>\n

Veneto recalls Venice,<\/strong> the most romantic city in the world, seat of the well-known Casino and the Venice F<\/b>i<\/b>lm Festival <\/b>(september). But there is a lot more to discover: the dynamic Padova, Vicenza<\/strong> and the Palladiane Villas<\/strong>, Verona<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0Romeo and Juliet’s balcony <\/strong>and Arena di Verona amphitheatre <\/strong>and\u00a0Cortina d’Ampezzo<\/strong>, the great pearl of the Dolomites.<\/p>\n

Natural beauties are countless: starting from eastern Dolomites <\/b>(UNESCO),<\/strong> to Garda Lake<\/strong> which is the biggest of Italy, to the Altopiano <\/b>d<\/b>i <\/b>Asiago<\/b> (<\/b>Asiago <\/b>plateau<\/b>)<\/b> which is a charming location where jams and cheese are produced and exported all over the world.
\nIn the eastern Dolomites stays the Marmolada,<\/strong> the highest peak in Veneto (3343 mt).The plain is crossed by rivers Po, Adige, Brenta, Piave, Livenza <\/strong>and Tagliamento<\/strong> and there are some hills: Colli Euganei<\/strong> and Colli Berici<\/strong>. Between the Po delta and the mouth of Tagliamento, the Adriatic coast is defined by lidos and lagoons: the most famous is of course the Venice Lagoon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Beside skiing, sport addicted may perform: curling, ice-skating and ice-hockey in Stadio del Ghiaccio of Cortina<\/strong> (ice stadium); windsurfing, kitesurfing and fishing in Garda Lake; canoeing in the river Po and lots of sailing regattas are performed in Venice Lagoon.<\/p>\n

The most famous seaside resort near Venice are: Jesolo, Caorle, Chioggia, Eraclea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
