Naples Film Festival
September 25th to October 1st, the most important film festival in Southern Italy
From Monday September 25th to Sunday October 1st, Naples turns into the capital of independent film industry.
Founded in 1996, Naples Film Festival aims to support cultural growth in Naples and, more generally, in Southern Italy, through knowledge, debates and cultural exchanges.
NFF provides a showcase for the best in independent cinema of Mediterranean and Neapolitan filmmakers, without forgetting Hollywood movies.
Since its first edition, Naples Film Festival has gained critical and public acclaim, becoming one of the most important independent film festivals in Europe where authors and interpreters from all over the world participate.
Among the guests of the previous editions, directed by Pappi Corsicato: Joel and Ethan Coen, Frances McDormand, Turkish-Italian director Ferzan Özpetek and Italian actors Margherita Buy, Rosaria De Cicco, Michele Placido and Paola Cortellesi.
Since 2012, NFF is held in several locations in Naples, such as Metropolitan theater, Vittoria theater, Institut Français Napoli and Naples Academy of Fine Arts.
Since the 15th edition in 2013 Naples Film Festival introduced the competitive section “SchermoNapoliWeb” dedicated to the web series realized in Campania region or by authors from this region, such as Ferdinando Carcavallo who won two editions.
