The 9th edition of Hide and Seek World Championship – Nascondino World Championship – takes place again in Consonno  an abandoned small village in the province of Lecco (lake Como) from Friday August 24th to Sunday August 26th 2018
About 400 competitors from all over the world (average age 25-40 years old) are expected to be engaded in the game. All teams are composed by 5 people each.  The game is programmed in 4 groups.
All participants must be at least 18 years old and it is strongly suggested to be in a good athletic shape.

The championship starts with the “debit card launch” that decides the assignment of the uniforms: whoever pulls it farther, chooses first black or yellow uniform.
The elimination round is taking place on Saturday and on Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon it is starting the final challenge between the 5 winning teams of the 4 groups.
The winning prize? A golden fig leaf, the symbol of hide and seek.

During the event people may enjoy good food, music…
– “L’imboscata” – street food & beer: a space dedicated to food and Italian craft beers;
“Nascondino MuSeek Festival”: on Friday and Saturday nights Consonno enlivens with rock, acoustic concerts and electronic music.

For the players who subscribed for the Championship a camping area is organized, the “Wild and Seek Camping” where it is possible to park the campers and build the tents.

Consonno is a perfect venue for hide and seek. The builder, the Count Mario Bagno, wanted it to be the small “Las Vegas of Brianza”.  But in 1977 a landslide interupted the road and isolated the village that became a sort of a ghost town. With a green area of 25 thousand sqm it is the ideal game land for natural hide and seek.
Last year players brought also closets and sofas that can be used as traditionnally kids were using furniture too to find a good way to hide themselves.
