Medieval Feasts – Offagna
From July 21st to July 28th, 2018, the 31st edition in a beautiful Medieval village
From July Saturday 21st to Saturday 29th 2018, the Medieval town of Offagna near Ancona, hosts the 31st edition of the Medieval Feasts.
During these days the historical center of the town, registered as one of the most beautiful Medieval Villages in Italy, recalls the Medieval atmosphere of the past through events, shows and tastes of that time.
The program of the Medieval Feasts in Offagna is very rich and varied.
On stage The old art of falconry, still practiced nowadays, with birds of prey that perform evolutions on air and acrobatics.
Ability and skill: archery, fencing demos, but also coreographies of flag wavers and flags, stilts exhibitions and much more…
In occasion of the Medieval Feasts in Offagna the old taverns are reconstructed by the different districts of the town which offer wines, food and recipe inspired by Medieval “menus” and customs.
Finally a makert of arts and trades is set up through the streets of the village.
Different stands display and sell products in silk, colored with natural colorings, swords, shields, parchment paper with lamb leather, flour, bread, etc.
The town of Offagna is far less than 20 km from Ancona and it is characterized by its marvellous Fortress of XV century from where you can admire the valleys and the coasts in Marche. Offagna was registered in the association of Borghi più belli d’Italia and among the Orange Flags of the Italian Touring Club, a touristic-environmental brand quality attributed by Touring Club.
Free entrance except on Saturday the 28th (€ 5,00)
