From February 7 to 17, 2026, the town of Castrovillari (in the province of Cosenza) comes alive for the 68th edition of the most important Carnival in Calabria.
During the Castrovillari Carnival the rich program includes:
– the contrast, a poetic composition between King Carnival and Lent
– coronation of the King and delivery of the keys to the city
– parades of allegorical floats
– programs for children
– musical and folkloric performances by groups from Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia…
– sports tournaments
– dance schools‘ shows…
