On Wednesday, July 16th, 2025 in the district of Piosina- Città di Castello (province of Perugia) celebrates the traditional Wheat Threshing Festival followed by further days of feast until Sunday, July 20th.
The Wheat Threshing takes place on Wednesday at 9,00 pm and re-proposes the ways and customs of threshing wheat from the 30s, 40s, and 50s of the last century.
During the feast, food stands are set up offering typical traditional dishes of the area. The typical menu should consist of crostini with goose liver, tagliatelle with goose sauce, roast goose and baked duck with a side dish of potatoes.
