On the weekends from November 22nd to December 14th, 2025, the medieval village of Candelara hosts the candle festival Candles in Candelara.
At Candles in Candelara, this year at its 22nd edition, visitors can enjoy a number of events: Christmas market, nativity scenes, shows, music, street artists and local delicacies.
Over 60 wooden stalls sell handcrafted objects, gift ideas and candles of every kind and size.
It is also possible to taste traditional dishes in two large heated facilities: polenta with mushrooms, salted codfish with potatoes, grilled meat, piadina, fried olives, apple pancakes, roasted chestnuts and new wine.
Twice a day, at 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm, the electricity is cut off for 15 minutes, leaving the village illuminated by the warm light of thousands of candles.
The program includes activities for kids and also the opportunity to meet Santa Klaus and give him the letter with their wishes.
