Pomaria, The Apple Festival – Val di Non

October 13th to 15th. 2023, a big feast celebrating the apple.

From October 13th to 15th, 2023 – as every year on the second week of October – in the small Cles,  Val di Non. takes place the feast of the apple, Pomaria.

Pomaria celebrates the apple in all its forms and aims to rediscover and promote the local traditions and all the foods harvested in the Non and Sole Valleys in October.

The name Pomaria comes from the Latin word “pomarium” (orchard), and it was conceived to honor the goddess Pomona, protector of the orchards.

For 3 days, the Non-Valley becomes the kingdom of the apple: visitors can pick apples directly from the trees, learn how to cook strudels, get to know and taste the different varieties of apples and their recipes, participate in workshops and tastings.

Further events include concerts, food and wine tastings, folklore, a market with local products, guided tours and walks, and contests to find the biggest and weirdest apples.
And for kids: games, fairy tales, movies.

The feast is organized by “Strada della Mela e dei Sapori delle Valli di Non e di Sole” (the road of apples and flavors) in partnership with local authorities and institutions.
