Garlic Fair – Monticelli d’Ongina

29 September – 2 October 2023. Monticelli celebrates its top quality garlic

From September 29th to October 2nd 2023 in Monticelli d’Ongina, in the province of Piacenza, takes place the 48th edition of Garlic Fair, a specialty of Monticelli.

During the fair, a historical parade in medieval clothes animates the streets and squares of the city to celebrate the garlic of Monticelli.

Monticelli garlic is a top-quality variety.
The cultivation of this plant dates back to ancient times in ancient Egypt.
Apart from its nutritional properties, the plant is also used for therapeutic purposes.
